The following additions, deletions, modifications, or clarifications shall be made to the appropriate
sections of the plans and specifications and shall become a part of the Contract Documents. Bidders
shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid form.
QUESTIONS:
1. Are thickness cores available to determine existing HMAC depths for replacement?
a. We specified in Addendum 1 the repair of 4” of B base and 2” of C topping for
replacement along the full length of the project.
2. No Bid item exists for furnish and install of ductile iron pipe fittings. Can one be provided?
a. A bid item for the 12” fittings using tons as the unit of measure for all the required
fittings can be provided.
3. Details show 12"-18" of 2 sack cement stabilized subgrade to be installed under existing
pavement required to be removed and replaced as part of the work. No bid item exists for 2
sack cement treated subgrade. Can one be provided?
a. We would like to leave this subsidiary to the pipe install. Our city standard includes this
as part of the final backfill, which is measured by the liner foot of pipe installed.
