The following additions, deletions, modifications, or clarifications shall be made to the appropriate
sections of the plans and specifications and shall become a part of the Contract Documents. Bidders
shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid form.
QUESTIONS:
NOTE: Any questions from IONWAVE not answered in this addendum will be answered in
subsequent addendum.
1. PDV – Section 33 11 13.13/ 2.03.A.2 calls for CP reinforcement, when PDV >6,000, in accordance
with AWWA M11. Respectfully requesting this paragraph is revised to fall in line with the
current (5th) edition of AWWA M11, as referenced on 33 11 13.13/ 1.04.4, which allows ICT/CLR
reinforcement types for PDV< 9,000
a. Paragraph 2.03.A.1.2 will be replaced with The fittings and specials shall be designed in
accordance with AWWA C208 and AWWA M11, except that crotch plates shall be used
for outlet reinforcement for all pressure diameter values (PDVs) greater than 6000,
collars may only be used when d/D is less than or equal to 0.7 and the M factor shall not
be less than 1.0 but PDV/4000 for PDVs between 4000 and 6000 unless otherwise
specified. Where indicated on the Drawings, collars or wrappers shall be used in lieu of
crotch plates to allow for working space and supports.
2. Please confirm whether the city or the contractor is responsible for materials testing. The
general conditions, 13.03 B, states that if the contract requires it then it is to be done by the
contractor but nowhere else in the documents does it call for the contractor to do the testing. If
the testing is to be done by the contractor, it is requested that a line item for testing be included
and it be added to the measurement and payment to state that the item is for the contractor
supplied testing.

b. A bid item can be added.
3. Addendum #1 added 37 LF of tunnel on PL-4 but the bid item did not change. Will there be a
new bid form with the tunnel item adjusted?
a. Casing by bore measurement will be revised on bid form.
4. There is 27 LF of 60" Steel Casing by Open Cut that is missing from the bid item (assuming the
section on PL-1). Can you please revise the bid form to reflect the additional 27 LF?
a. Casing by open cut measurement will be revised on bid form.

A. Add BID ITEM 35 Material Testing. This is material testing required in the project plans
and specification. Payment for this item shall be at the contract unit price per lump
sum.
A4-3 Section 33 11 13.13
A. Remove Paragraph 2.03.A.1.2
i. The fittings and specials shall be designed in accordance with AWWA C208 and
AWWA M11 except that crotch plates shall be used for outlet reinforcement
for all Pressure Diameter Valves values (PDV), greater than 6000 unless
otherwise specified. Where indicated on the Drawings, collars or wrappers
shall be used in lieu of crotch plates to allow working space and supports.
Wrappers and collars shall meet ASME Standards. As an alternate to crotch
plates, collars or wrappers may be used when designed in accordance with
ASME Section VIII, Division 1.
