Court Resurfacing Scope of WorkIFB # 7471 Outdoor Court Resurfacing SCOPE OF WORK IFB 7471 Page 1 of 3 The scope of work shall be finalized upon the selection of the Firm. The respondent’s submission shall have accurately described your understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested products and services and provided an outline of your process to implement the requirements of the Scope of Work and Services. It is anticipated that the scope of work will include, at a minimum, the following: Labor, equipment and materials necessary to resurface the following: 2021 Denia Park – Multipurpose Court (13,100 sqft.) Mack Park – Multi-purpose Court (13,100 sqft.) 2022 Fred Moore Park - (2) Basketball Courts (14,600 sqft.) Southlakes Park – Basketball Court (7,500 sqft.) 2023 Crosstimbers Park – (1) Basketball Court (5,100 sqft.) North Lakes Park – (1) Basketball Court (7,200 sqft.) Owesley Park – Half Basketball Court (1,700 sqft.) GENERAL CONDITIONS: A. Contractor shall require all employees to report to work in clean uniforms, including shirt and pants. Uniforms shall have the contractor’s name in a manner clearly identifiable to the public. Contractor must insure that employees wear a shirt at all times. B. Contractor and employees will be courteous to the public at all times while at the work site. Conflicts or potential conflicts between required work and public use of a location should be reported to the City Representative within 24 hours. Contractor shall remove any employee that is incompetent or endangers persons or property. Employees will not consume or possess alcohol or use or possess any illegal drugs or be under the influence of such while on Owner’s property and or while carrying out the requirements of the contract. Contractor shall immediately remove such employee from the worksite. C. Prior to completion of the scheduled court resurfacing, a site inspection will take place by City Representative. D. Contractor shall supply all of his employees with adequate Personal Protective IFB # 7471 Outdoor Court Resurfacing SCOPE OF WORK IFB 7471 Page 2 of 3 Equipment. E. Contractor must provide and maintain a point of contact from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. In the event that a call is handled by voice mail, a return call to the City representative must be received within a maximum of one hour. F. Invoicing must have the following requirements: - Dates the work took place - Specific locations completed - Cost per court - Total cost of Invoice RESURFACING OF SITES: Unless otherwise notified all resurfacing colors will be the same as the existing colors. Contractor must complete one location before starting work at another location unless multiple employees and equipment is being utilized simultaneously. Work shall be conducted between 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday. The City may direct specific times for certain work to be performed as to not interfere with park, school, facility or athletic field activities Contractor is responsible for repair damage to park amenities, irrigation boxes or any other structures or hardscapes within the park. Clean the surface of all dust, dirt, debris and loos materials by pressure washing, blowing, and scraping. All cracks shall be cleaned out and filled with the appropriate acrylic crack filler. Sand and paint nets posts as needed. Flood court with water and allow to drain. Mark bird baths (low areas) where more than 1/16” water remains after drainage has ceased, or after one hour at 70 degrees or above sin sunlight Patch and fill all birdbaths with acrylic court patch binder as needed per ASBA specifications. Grind and sand until smooth level surface is achieved Apply acrylic resurface over all patched areas. Apply (1) one coat of textured (with manufactured sand) acrylic resurface over the entire court. Resurfacing material to be applied at a rate of .07 - .09 gal/square yard per coat Apply (2) tow coats of textured (with manufactured sand) acrylic resurface over the entire court. Color surfacing to be applied at a rate of .05 - .08 gal/square yard per coat. Colors will be the same as the existing paint unless specified prior to starting. IFB # 7471 Outdoor Court Resurfacing SCOPE OF WORK IFB 7471 Page 3 of 3 Apply textured (with same sand percentage as surface) white lines per USTA specifications for tennis. Basketball lines will include key with 3-point arc. Lines shall be measured, taped, and primed for application Materials shall be Sport Master or equivalent. Clean up Clean up upon completion of each work day, all tools, materials and debris should be properly stored or disposed of and any damages or spills repaired or cleaned up. The contractor shall leave the site clean of all trash. Warranty Contractor shall warrant all of the completed resurfacing, screening, painting, and appurtenances to be free of significant defects in workmanship and material for a period of one year from date of completion of the work.
