The scope of work shall be finalized upon the selection of the Firm. The respondent’s submission
shall have accurately described your understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested
products and services and provided an outline of your process to implement the requirements of
the Scope of Work and Services. It is anticipated that the scope of work will include, at a
minimum, the following:
A. GPS/GIS mapping of Oakwood and IOOF cemeteries to develop a current CAD map of
all grave locations, monuments, crypts, trees, roads, fences, and any other permanent
landmarks that provide location awareness. Maps to be provided to City on paper (at least
one large scale such as 24X36 and two smaller scale such as 11X17) and digital format
for each cemetery.
B. Collection of all data listed on monuments in a digital database. To include photo, full
name of decedent, date of birth, date of death, inscriptions, and veteran status if
applicable. Book of collected, organized data to be provided to City in paper and digital
format for each cemetery.
C. Assessment of all monuments to evaluate condition and provide priority based repair
schedule. To include monument and base material. Book of collected, organized data to
be provided to City in paper and digital format for each cemetery.
D. Installation of stainless steel block markers to replace PVC block markers in IOOF
division Z 1-31 ½ , division X 42A-47F, division E 7 ½-35 ½, division F 40-42, division
G 36 ½-42 division K 36 ½-42 and Oakwood Blocks 7/1, 7/2, 5/1,5/2, 5/3, 5/4. Also in
Oakwood Old Part where blocks and quadrants of blocks intersect.
E. Annual repair, restoration, and preservation work to damaged monuments. To include
leveling, cleaning, and repairs to damaged and broken monuments.
F. Proposal for consultation and design of weather proof and vandal resistant visitor
information kiosks at Oakwood and IOOF cemeteries.
G. Proposal for restoration work to mausoleums at IOOF cemetery and lawn crypts at
Oakwood Cemetery using various construction techniques to return them to safe and
historically accurate condition.
