RFPINFORMATION TheCityofDenton’sRFP6221isfortheconstructionofa13,308squarefootwavepoolandpermanent concessionstandasanadditiontotheCity’sWaterWorksPark.Thewavepoolwillhaveabatherloadcapacity of880people.ThisisthefirstadditiontotheWaterWorksParksinceitsinceptionin2003.Theconcession standwillbeanapproximately1425squarefootbuildingwhichincludeamenitiessuchaspizzaovens,fryers, walkinfreezer/cooler,sodamachine,refrigeratedchefbase,preptables,PointofSaleequipment,andheating andairconditioning.Thiswillallowstafftopreparemadetoorder”freshfoodsuchashamburgers,hotdogs, pizza,chicken,salads,fruitsmoothies,colddrinks,etc.,thereforeprovidingafullconcessionstandtomeetthe needs ofthepatrons. RequestsforProposalsweresentto1185prospectivecontractors.Inaddition,specificationswereplacedonthe MaterialsManagementwebsiteforprospectivesupplierstodownloadandadvertisedinthelocalnewspaper. Five(5)proposalswerereceived.Theproposalswereevaluatedbaseduponpublishedcriteriaincluding performance,delivery,acceptanceofstandardtermsandconditions,andprice.Baseduponthisevaluation, SchmoldtConstruction,Inc.meetsallrequirementsandisdeterminedtobethebestvaluefortheCity(Exhibit 1-RankingSheet).
