AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, A TEXAS HOME-RULE MUNICIPALCORPORATION, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANINTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM AGREEMENT WITH EAGLECOUNTY HEALTH SERVICE DISTRICT, DBA EAGLE COUNTY PARAMEDICSERVICES (“EAGLE COUNTY”), PUBLIC SAFETY ASSOCIATION INC AND MANAGEDBY THE NORTH CENTRAL EMS CORPORATION, DBA SAVVIK BUYING GROUP,UNDER THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE CHAPTERS 252, 271, AND 791, TOAUTHORIZE CITY OF DENTON CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF VARIOUSGOODS AND SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS THEREFOR;
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (FILE 7929 – INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVEPURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH EAGLE COUNTY).
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized to execute the
Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with the Eagle County Health Service District, dba
Eagle County Paramedic Services (“Eagle County”), Public Safety Association Inc and managed
by the North Central EMS Corporation, dba Savvik Buying Group, under chapters 252, 271, 791
of the Texas Government Code, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference
herein (the “Agreement”). ' ‘

SECTION 2. The City Manager, or their designee, is authorized to expend funds
pursuant to the Agreement for the purchase of various goods and services.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Denton hereby expressly delegates the
authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under this ordinance to the City Manager of the City of Denton, or their designee.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
