WHEREAS, the City desires to implement a combined wide-area, multi-site digital
trunked simulcast radio system that is compliant with P-25 interoperability standards; and

SECTION 2. By the acceptance and approval of the above numbered items set forth in
the referenced file, the City accepts the offer of the persons submitting the bids to the H-GAC for
such items and agrees to purchase the materials, equipment, supplies, or services in accordance
with the terms, conditions, specifications, standards, quantities and for the specified sums
contained in the bid documents and related documents filed with the H-GAC, and the purchase
orders issued by the City.
SECTION 3. The City Manager or his designated representative is hereby authorized to
execute the System Purchase Agreement (Radio Systems with Lifecycle Support Plan) under File
6832; and the terms, conditions, specifications and standards contained in the System Purchase
Agreement, quantities and specified sums contained in the City's purchase orders, and related
documents herein are approved and accepted.
SECTION,4. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby expressly delegates
the authority to take any actions that may be required or permitted to be performed by the City of
Denton under File 6832 to the City Manager of the City of Denton, Texas, or his designee,
SECTION 5, The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby expressly delegates
the authority to negotiate and execute an agreement or memorandum of understanding with
Denton County, the City of Lewisville, and/or any another party to authorize combined coverage
testing and interoperability of the radio systems to the City Manager of the City of Denton,
Texas, or his designee.
SECTION 6. By the acceptance and approval of the above enumerated items, the City
Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds therefor in the amount and in accordance
with the approved bids.
SECTION 7 That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approval.
