SUBJECT
Adoption of a contract with Imagenet Consulting, LLC, through an Interlocal Cooperative Purchasing
Agreement with TIPS #200105, under the Government Code, Chapter 791.001, to authorize additional
funds to City of Denton contracts for coin-operated copiers/printers, and services for public use in libraries;
providing for expenditures of funds therefor; and providing an effective date (File 8104 – awarded to
Imagenet Consulting, LLC, in the not-to-exceed amount of $49,000).
BACKGROUND
Chapter 271.102 of the Local Government Code authorizes local governments to participate in a cooperative
purchasing program with another local government or local cooperative organization. In lieu of competitive
bidding, items and services may be purchased through such agreements as the agreements have already
been bid by the sponsoring entity or agency. By doing this as a cooperative effort, the combined purchasing
usage of these entities was utilized to realize competitive pricing and reduced administrative costs of
individual bidding. Pricing per Exhibit 1 attached.
On May 17, 2011, Council approved the interlocal agreement with The Interlocal Purchasing System
(Ordinance 2011-082).
The agreement, Contract Number #200105, began 05/31/2023 with a termination date of May 31, 2023.
The contract allows for a one-year extension by written agreement to Sourcewell.
RECOMMENDATION
Award a contract with Imagenet Consulting, LLC, coin-operated copiers/printers, and services for public
use in libraries, in the not-to-exceed amount of $49,000.
ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT
TIPS contract #200105 expires on 5/31/2023.
FISCAL INFORMATION
These products and services will be funded through the using department’s budget on an as-needed basis.
