SUBJECT
Authorizing the spend authority with Compass Group USA, Inc., for vending machine services, providing
for an expenditure amount not-to-exceed $49,000.00.
BACKGROUND
The initial contract approved by council on October 15, 2019 was for providing state-of–the-art current
model vending machines for beverages/snacks and maintenance services in the designated locations
throughout the City. The vendor provides machines free of charge with no lease or monthly charges, these
machines will remain vendor property and will be returned to the vendor upon contract expiration or
termination. Additional machines may be added any time at the City’s request.
The contract was amended by purchasing on November 5, 2020 to provide a micro market service and
related products at the Development Services Building. The market has a minimum monthly purchase
amount of $2,400. Should the City fall short of the specified monthly minimum, the City agreed to subsidize
the difference.
Due to Amendment 2 we need to set a not to exceed expenditure amount of $49,000 to this contract.
RECOMMENDATION
To provide a not-to-exceed amount $49,000
FISCAL INFORMATION
This service and products will be used citywide.
