SUBJECT
Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation,
rejecting any and all competitive proposals under RFP 8080 for Air Quality monitors; and providing an
effective date (RFP 8080).
INFORMATION/BACKGROUND
The City of Denton sought proposals for air quality monitors to develop a neighborhood-level air quality
monitoring program. The proposal requested pricing for both lease and purchase options as well as data and
dashboard capabilities to share neighborhood-level information. The proposals received did not meet the
specifications provided in the scope of work.
Staff is trying to identify alternative methods to complete a neighborhood air quality monitoring program.
In accordance with the Local Government Code 252.043, the City Council may reject any and all bids.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends rejection of all proposals for Air Quality Monitors.
