SUBJECT
Adoption of contract through the BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Network Contract Number BB 653-
21 with Demco., for the acquisition of services and products for the City of Denton on October 13, 2020 in
the not-to-exceed amount of $30,000; said first amendment to provide additional service until the BuyBoard
COOPERATIVE 653-21 expires on October 30, 2024; providing for expenditures of funds therefor; and
providing and effective date (File 7509 – providing for an additional first amendment expenditure amount
not-to-exceed $7,500, with the total contract amount not-to-exceed $37,500).
BACKGROUND
Chapter 271.102 of the Local Government Code authorizes local governments to participate in a cooperative
purchasing program with another local government or local cooperative organization. In lieu of competitive
bidding, items and services may be purchased through such agreements as the agreements have already
been bid by the sponsoring entity or agency. Pricing obtained through the Department of Information
Resources (DIR) Cooperative Purchasing Network has been competitively bid and meets the statutory
requirements of Texas Local Government Code 271.102.
The original contract was awarded on October 13, 2020 not-to-exceed $30,000 with Demco for products
and services related to BuyBoard COOPERATIVE 653-21.
RECOMMENDATION
To provide an additional not-to-exceed amount $7500 with this First Amendment for an aggregate not-to-
exceed amount of $37,500.
ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT
BuyBoard COOPERATIVE 653-21 with a contract expiration date of 10/30/2024.
FISCAL INFORMATION
