SUBJECT
Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation,
rejecting any and all competitive proposals under RFP 8458 for the mapping, surveying, and monument
repairs at Oakwood and IOOF Cemeteries; and providing an effective date (RFP 8458).
INFORMATION/BACKGROUND
The Purchasing Department, along with the assistance of the Parks and Recreation Department, solicited
proposals for Cemetery Services, including mapping, surveying, and monument repairs at Oakwood and
IOOF Cemeteries. After the solicitation closed, Purchasing noticed a technical error within the solicitation.
In conjunction with Purchasing, Parks and Recreation decided to re-solicit the solicitation in hopes of
receiving additional proposals.
In accordance with the Local Government Code 252.043, the City Council may reject any and all bids.
RECOMMENDATION
Purchasing recommends rejection of all proposals for Cemetery Services.
