Carrollton, City of-2565-Award/Ordinance/Pricing i ORDINANCE NO. , AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN TNTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF CARROLLTON'S RELATING TO PARTICIPATION OF THE CITY OF DENTON IN THE CITY OF CARROLLTON CONTRACT WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE PURCHASE OF OFFICE SUPPLIES AND SIMILAR MATERIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE (FILE 2565 -1NTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF CARROLLTON). THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an Interlocal Agreement in substantially the same form as the one attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein for the purchase of office supplies and related materials from an annual contract awarded by the City of Carrollton and on file in the office of the City Purchasing Agent. SECTION 2. That the City Manager is authorized to expend funds pursuant to the agreement for the purchase of various goods and services. Czt~ EULINE BROCK, MAYOR ATTEST: JENNIFER WALTERS, CITY SECRETARY BY: APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM: HERBERT L UTY, C Y ATTORNEY BY: FILE 2565 ®RL CAL AGEMENT WITH THE CITY OF CARROLLTON I • iNTERLOCAL AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 5'h day of September, 2000, by and between the CITY OF CARROLLTON, TEXAS (hereinafter called "Carrollton") and the CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS (hereinafter called "Denton"), acting through the CITY OF CARROLLTON duly authorized agent: WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the city of Carrollton and the City of Denton as permitted under Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, wish to enter into this Interlocal Agreement to set forth the terms and conditions upon which the city of Carrollton and the city of Denton may purchase various goods and services commonly utilized by said entities; and WHEREAS, participation in a Cooperative Purchasing Program will be highly beneficial to the taxpayers of the city of Carrollton and the city of Denton through the anticipated savings to be realized; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and the mutual promises, covenants and obligations as set forth herein, the city of Carrollton and the city of Denton agree as follows: 1. Participants will work cooperatively to provide a program for the purchase of and services commonly utilized by all participants ("Cooperative Purchasing Proanam„goods and under such Program may purchase goods and services from vendors under present and fu contracts. ture 2.
