SUBJECT
Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation,
authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Bradstreet Construction, LLC dba ForeverLawn
Texas, for the removal and replacement of the North Lakes Driving Range tee line turf for the Parks and
Recreation Department; providing for the expenditure of funds therefor; and providing an effective date
(RFP 8474 – awarded to Bradstreet Construction, LLC dba ForeverLawn Texas, in the not-to-exceed
amount of $60,000.00).

INFORMATION/BACKGROUND
The purpose of this project is to replace the turf on the tee line at the North Lakes Driving Range. The turf
was last replaced in 2019 and has a life span of approximately five (5) years. The original turf was installed
in 2014 prior to the facility opening in October 2014. Replacing the turf ensures a safe and first-rate
experience for our patrons.
Request for Proposals was sent to 206 prospective suppliers of this item. In addition, specifications were
placed on the Procurement website for prospective suppliers to download and advertised in the local
newspaper. One (1) proposal was received, and references were checked to ensure the vendor can provide
the services requested in the Scope of Work. The proposal was evaluated based upon published criteria
including compliance with specifications, probable performance, and price. Best and Final Offer (BAFO)
was requested from the firm. The department is awarding the contract to Bradstreet Construction, LLC dba
ForeverLawn Texas.
