6258 - Replacement of Barrier Floats/Marking Buoys for Lake Lewisville Raw Water Pump Station Intake Struct, 3.Statement of Work/ Specifications The scope of work shall be finalized upon the selection of the Firm. The respondent’s submission shall have accurately described your understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested products and services and provided an outline of your process to implement the requirements of the Scope of Work and Services. It is anticipated that the scope of work will include, at a minimum, the following: INTRODUCTION The City of Denton (the City), Water Utility Department is requesting proposals (RFP) for supplying all material and supplies for the replacement of Floats/ Marking Buoys for Lake Lewisville Raw Water Pump Station Intake Structure from an individual or business with experience in providing such products. City of Denton has a raw water pump station at a cove near the I-35E Bridge on the Lake Lewisville. The pump station has a wet-well with two (2) intake pipes in the lake for withdrawing and supplying raw water to the Lake Lewisville water treatment plant. The existing barrier floats/buoys around the pump station and intake structures were installed in 1995 and need to be replaced. The City of Denton Water Utility’s goal is to install new barrier floats to restrict boating traffic or swimmers from intake area and protect the integrity of the raw water intake structure. Delivery shall be made during the hours of 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (CST) unless prior approval for after-hours delivery has been obtained from the City. In the event of any approval by the City for after-hours delivery, Contractor may not invoice any additional charges for that delivery. This location does have a forklift and dock available for offloading.
