(Effective 1/1/2017 NEMSIS 3.3.4 or higher is mandated) The system will comply with latest version of HL7 data and reporting standards used by the State having jurisdiction. The ERMS is able to capture incident data elements available in the CAD system. The system complies with State rules and regulations for EMS data collection and reporting. CAD interface to ERMS has capability for a near real-time connection (not a closed call download). The system allows creating an NFIRS report from within the Patient Care Record (PCR). Data quality control measures are built into ePCR module. The system must allow authorized users to define smart rules to validate data entry for quality assurance. The system allows for use via tablet . The system is HIPAA compliant. The system is capable of exporting required billing related information to a third party billing agency by secure means (i.e. encryption or similar security). The system can attach defibrillator event files. The system accepts electronic signatures under many roles attached to a single PCR. Electronic signatures must be compliant with the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act of 200. The system is able to calculate age when date of birth is entered. Age must be in appropriate units of time, e.g. for infants less than 30 days, the units will be days, infants greater than 1 month but less than 1 year, the units will be months. Previous patient medical history is available for repeat patients without having to provide any special designation.
