The following are changes to the RFP specifications:
Please see the attached questions and answers plus pictures of the
trade-in motorcycles.
NO OTHER CHANGES AT THIS TIME.
Please acknowledge addendum on Attachment F of the
main RFP document when submitting a proposal.
6364- Police Motorcycles (Questions/Answers)
1. I have a quick questions as to line 17 in the Excel form regarding Scheduled Maintenance
for 5 Years. I would like to know if you could assign a Mileage you would expect the unit
to reach in the 5 year time frame? Harley-Davidson typically sells Prepaid Scheduled
Maintenance by the Mile vs. Years. I have attached a quick reference sheet for this. If this
was addressed in the bid packet, I apologize as I have overlooked it. I would suggest the
City of Denton go with a 30,000 Prepaid Plan based on the mileage on the trade units. I
am making the suggestion so that I may be able to submit an equal prepaid plan as other
bidder do.
I would go with the highest cost saving plan – 30,000 miles.
2. One additional question, in the Excel form under Section E Guaranteed Buyback, what all
will be included on the motorcycle for the buyback pricing? Will the unit be fully equipped
with all emergency equipment as the unit was sold new with or will the unit be stripped of
the equipment?
These will be traded in with all equipment except the radar and radio units. Unit will
include all emergency lighting and equipment EXCEPT Setcom radio interface, radar
units, and video camera/recorders.
3. So are there 4 motorcycles for trade in?
YES
4. Service contract mileage and conditions of trade-in units?
Unit # PD 1349: Police Department = Good Condition, 25,000 miles currently
Unit # PD 1350: Police Department = Good Condition, 26,000 miles currently
Unit # PD 1490: Police Department = Good Condition, 19,000 miles currently
Unit # PD 1491: Police Department = Good Condition, 12,000 miles currently
