6433 - Rental of Vans for the Parks Programs, 3.Statement of Work/ Specifications Materials Management Department 901-B Texas Street Denton, Texas 76209 SCOPE OF WORK Exhibit 3 RFP 6433 RENTAL OF VANS FOR THE PARKS PROGRAMS FOR THE CITY OF DENTON Page 1 of 5 RFP # 6433 SCOPE OF WORK EXHIBIT 3 RFP # 6433 – Exhibit 3 The scope of work shall be finalized upon the selection of the Firm. The respondent’s submission shall have accurately described your understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested products and services and provided an outline of your process to implement the requirements of the Scope of Work and Services. It is anticipated that the scope of work will include, at a minimum, the following: 15-PASSENGER VANS: * Vans must be available June 1, 2017- August 17, 2017 (Future dates to be determined) * Must be no more than three (2) years old with less than 30,000 miles on odometer * Must have working seatbelts * Must have air conditioning * AM/FM Radio * Mileage should be either 3,000 miles per month or unlimited * The City requires an exemption of rental policy requiring drivers to be 25 years of age or older. * Color to be white with no markings or advertisements * Vans must be delivered to the Civic Center by 12 pm on June 1, 2017 and picked up at the Civic Center no earlier than 4pm on August 17, 2017. * If vans are returned earlier than August 17, 2017, rental fees will terminate immediately on the returned van. * All vans need to have current inspection/registration stickers and recent oil changes. Page 2 of 5 RFP # 6433 SCOPE OF WORK EXHIBIT 3 RFP # 6433 – Exhibit 3 All City Van drivers must complete the following:  Must have a valid Class "C" Driver's License prior to employment  Must pass a drug test, driver's license check, social security verification, and criminal history background check  Must be able to obtain Adult and Youth CPR, AED and First Aid certification by May 15, 2017  Must be able to obtain Defensive Driving certificate by May 15, 2017  Complete an 8 hour driving class taught by our Risk Management staff that is specific to driving 15 passenger vans and complete a driving obstacle course. ** We do realize you need someone on staff that is over 25 years of age to have a driver’s license on file. If that is needed we can have the Staff Supervisor submit their driver’s license to keep on file along with the other staff that will be driving the vans that might fall under the age of your requirements. Like referenced above we do go through a strict review and testing for each staff member that will be responsible for the children that our registered in our programs. For the first year of this RFP we will need our vans on the due date of Thursday, June 1, 2017, do to our camps and programs starting on Monday, June 5, 2017. Liability limits are established by the Texas Tort Claims Act as listed below: Property Damage: $100,000 Bodily Injury: $250,000 per person $500,000 per occurrence The Risk Retention Fund is funded by the City in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices through actuarially calculated annual contributions.
