The following are clarifications and changes to the specifications:
Specifications Changes
Sections I and II of the pricing sheet (Exhibit 1) will require proofing of the conduit with a “mule tape” prior to approval of installation. The City will provide the mule tape.
Questions Received by the City:
Does utility potholing fall under the Section VI?
Potholing is a part of the line location process and should be included in the cost of each bore.
Will additional testing requirements on specific projects be treated as pass through costs? Or Change Orders?
We do not anticipate any additional requirements
Does the city have an approved site for disposal of bore mud?
No the City does not have a site for disposal of bore mud. Exhibit 3 page 6 #24 states “Contractor is responsible for control and disposal of all spoils onsite at each job location,
in accordance with all State, Federal, and local requirements”.
Will the need for pressure grouting be case by case?
Please review Exhibit 3, page 6 #22 GROUTING OF VOIDS.
NO OTHER CHANGES AT THIS TIME.
Please acknowledge addendum on Attachment F of the main RFP document when submitting a proposal.
