The scope of work shall be finalized upon the selection of the Firm. The respondent’s submission
shall have accurately described your understanding of the objectives and scope of the requested
products and services and provided an outline of your process to implement the requirements of
the Scope of Work and Services. It is anticipated that the scope of work will include, at a
minimum, the following:
The City of Denton Senior Center is planning a summer 2017 land trip to Mackinac Island
with side tours on the way to and from Mackinac Island. We anticipate a 7 to 9 day trip
with major emphasis given to the Mackinac Island area.
Criteria for trip bids:
Price: 50% - Look at the final cost and the number of days of the trip. This price needs to
clearly include and explain all transportation costs, hotels, meals, admission fees, etc.
Explanation for what is not included needs to be provided. For example; if lunches are
not included in the fees. We also need to include insurance costs for each participant as
insurance will be required. We would like the trip to be inclusive as possible.
Value/ Quality: 25% -We realize that all hotels and restaurants are not created equal, so
this category weighs the quality of choices we are provided with in areas of
transportation, hotels, food, sightseeing choices, and activities included. What makes this
tour better than the competitors?
Marketing/ Perks: 15% - How will this tour agency help the City of Denton and the
Denton Senior Center market this trip? Extras included that make the tour unique.
Examples: merchandise given to the participants, tips/gratuities included etc.
Company’s Reputation and Experience: 10% - Company’s years in business, stability,
reputation. Referrals from others in the DFW area who have used your services.
Company’s experience with traveling with senior adults.
Company will also supply brochures for advertising the Trip to Mackinac Island plus an Agenda
on what will take place on the road trip, including the extra side trips.
