HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-315\\CH-LGL\VQLI\SHARED\DEPN GL\Our Documents\Ordinances\99\IOO N Locust historic doc ORDINANCE NO AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, DESIGNATING THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 100 N LOCUST STREET AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK UNDER SECTION 35-215, ARTICLE V, OF CHAPTER 35 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2,000 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Historic Landmark Commission and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Denton having recommended that the property herein described be designated as a historic landmark in the City of Denton, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION 1 That the property located at 100 N Locust Street, being more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby designated as a historic landmark under Section 35-215, Article V of Chapter 35 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas SgC'TION 2 That said property herein described shall be indicated upon the zoning map of the City of Denton as a historic landmark by the letter "H," and the property herein described shall be subject to all terms, provisions and requirements of Section 35-215, Article V of Chapter 35 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, and such designation shall be in addition to any other use designation established in the City's zoning ordinance applicable to such property SECTION 3 That any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined a sum not exceeding $2,000 Each day that a provision of this ordinance is violated shall constitute a separate and distinct offense SECTION 4 That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record-Chromcle, the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage PASSED AND APPROVED this the = day of , 1999 rr1LLER,mXVbR ATTEST JENNIFER WALTERS, CITY SECRETARY i BY APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM PROUTY, CITY ATTORNEY BY / r, AVJIJI .j'/C71 I • FIELD NOTES 0.078 ACRE BEING a0 that carisin lot, tract, or parcel of land situated In the William Nell Survey AbWbd Number 971, In the City and County or Nnton.
