AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR TWO HOUR
PARKING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MULBERRY STREET FROM ITS INTERSECTION
WITH ELM STREET TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH LOCUST STREET FROM 8 00 A M —
5 00 P M MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE,
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1. On the north side of Mulberry Street from its intersection with Elm Street
to its intersection with Locust Street all parking from 8 00 a in to 5 00 p in on Monday through
Friday shall be limited to no longer than two hours
SECTION 2• That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Denton in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the
ordinances of the City of Denton, not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, shall
remain in full force and effect
SECTION 3. That if any provision of this ordinance or application thereof to any person
or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or
applications, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable
SECTION 4 Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle in violation of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred
Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION 5 That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the
date of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this
ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record-Chromcle, the official newspaper of the
City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage
