ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE
RENAMING OF SOUTHERN HILLS BOULEVARD TO BRINKER ROAD, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the proposed extension of Brinker Road will be extended from Loop 288 to
connect to Southern Hill Boulevard at Colorado Boulevard and it was recommended by DRC
that Southern Hills Boulevard be renamed to Brinker Road, and
WHEREAS, said renaming will simplify street names and provide for more consistent
addressing, and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Denton conducted a
public hearing on July 14, 1999, and recommends renaming of Southern Hills Boulevard to
Brinker Road, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1, That the street officially designated as Southern Hills Boulevard, being a
public street connecting the I H 35—E Service Road to Colorado Boulevard, as illustrated in the
attached Exhibit "A", which is incorporated and made a part hereof, is renamed to Brinker Road
SSECTION 2 That the Director of Planning and Development is directed to amend the
official map of the City of Denton to reflect the change in the street name as provided herein
SSECTION 3 That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and approvalth
