ORDINANCE No.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR ONE-WAY
TRAFFIC FROM SOUTH TO NORTH ON MALONE STREET FROM ITS INTERSECTION
WITH SCRIPTURE STREET TO A POINT TWO HUNDRED FEET (200') NORTH OF
SAID INTERSECTION WITH SCRIPTURE STREET; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN
THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $200.00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Malone Street, from its intersection with
Scripture Street to a point two hundred feet (2001) north of said
intersection with Scripture Street, is hereby restricted to one-way
traffic travelling from south to north.
SECTION II. That when signs are in place giving notice there-
of, any person who shall violate the provisions of this ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding
Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars.
SECTION III. That this ordinance shall become effective upon
the installation of signs giving notice thereof, and the City Se-
cretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance
to be published twice in the Denton Record -Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the
date of its passage.
