AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON BOTH SIDES OF
SHERMAN DRIVE BEGINNING 250 FEET NORTH OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH
WINDSOR DRIVE AND EXTENDING 580 FEET SOUTH, ENDING 250 FEET SOUTH
OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH WINDSOR DRIVE WHEN SIGNS ARE POSTED,
PROVIDING
FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND DECLARING PROVIDING
EFFECTIVE TNOT TO
DATE
EXCEED
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no
person— a vehicle at any time upon the following
streets in the City of Denton to -wit
Both sides of Sherman Drive beginning 250 feet north of
its intersection with Windsor Drive and extending 580
feet south, ending 250 feet south of its intersection
with Windsor Drive
SECTION II The provisions of Section I prohibiting the
park ng o ve cles shall apply at all times to the street and
part of streets designated therein except when it is necessary
to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in
compliance with the direction of a police officer or official
traffic control device
SECTION III Any person

misdemeanor and punished by a

fine not to exceed Five Hundred
SECTION IV That if any section, subsection, paragraph,
sentence, cause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such holding
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
ordinance, and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby declares it would have enacted such remaining portions
despite any such invalidity
SECTION V That this ordinance shall become effective
fourteen days from the date of its passage, and the City
