AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON) TEXAS, MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR
VEHICLES TPAVELLING NORTHBOUND ON MALONE STREET TO EXECUTE RIGHT
TURNS WHEN FACING A STEADY RED SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF
MALONE STREET AND UNIVERSITY DRIVE, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN
THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I When signs are erected giving notice thereof,
drivers operating motor vehicles in a northbound direction on
Malone Street shall be prohibited from making right turns when
facing a steady red traffic signal at the intersection of Malone
Street and University Drive between the hours of 7 00 a m and
8 30 a m, and 3 00 p m and 4 00 p m
SECTION II Any person adjudged guilty of violating the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION III That this ordinance shall become effective
fourteen 14 ays from the date of its passage, and the City
Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this
ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record -Chronicle,
the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten
(10) days of the date of its passage
