HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-1141798L NO AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AS AMENDED, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO LOTS 20 THROUGH 28, BLOCK A, LOTS 1 THROUGH 11, BLOCK B, AND LOTS 8 THROUGH 10, BLOCK C OF THE AUDRA hSTATES ADDITION, LOCATED EAST OF AUDRA LANE AT THE INTERSECTION OF LATTIMORE STREET AND OAK TREE STREET, AS IS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, TO PROVIDE FOR A CHANGE IN ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM AGRICULTURAL "A" DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND USE DESIGNATION TO SINGLE-FAMILY SF-7 DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND USE DESIGNATION, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $1,000 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Denton has applied for a change in zoning from agricultural "A" to single-family "SF-7" for Lots 20 through 28, Block A, Lots 1 through 11, Block B, and Lots 8 through 10, Block C of the Audra Estates Addition located at the intersection of Lattimore Street and Oak Tree Street, and WHEREAS, on June 10, 1987, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on the application and recommended approval thereof, and, WHEREAS, on June 23, 1987, the City Council held a public hearing on the application, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION 1 That the Zoning Classification and Use designatiT applicable to all or part of the property described as Lots 20 through 28, Block A, Lots 1 through 11, Block B, and Lots 8 through 10, Block C of the Audra Estates Addition, is hereby changed from Agricultural "A" District Classification and Use to Single -Family "SF-7" District Classification and Use under the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas SECTION II The Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopteU__tR_e_14_th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas under Ordinance No 69-1, as amended, is hereby amended to show such change in District Classification and Use subject to the above conditions and specifications SECTION III That the City Council of the City of Denton, in comprehensive plans for atthe ucpurpo purpose accordance of s promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other things for the character of the district and for its peculiar suitability for particular uses, and with a view to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human lives, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the City of Denton, Texas, and its citizens SECTION IV Any person who shall violate a provision of this ordinance, or fails to comply therewith or with any of the requirements thereof, or of a permit or certificate issued thereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000 00) Each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of this ordinance is committed, or continued, and upon conviction of any such violations such persons shall be punished within the limits above SECTION V That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen 14 days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record -Chronicle, the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage PASSED AND APPROVED this thea�� day of 1987 RAY ST P S, DAYOR ATTEST J d R VALTE , CI Y S 2PT RY APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM DEBRA ADAMI DRAYOVIrCH, CITY ATTORNEY BY Z-1858/Page 2
