AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
rHE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF DENTON ON APRIL
4, 1987
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I The City Council finds and declares that the April
4, 198 regu ar municipal election was duly ordered for the pur-
pose of electing four (4) councilpersons to the City Council of
the City of Denton, Texas for Places 1, 2, 3, and 4, that proper
notice of said election was duly given and election officials
appointed, that said election was duly held and the returns of
the election officials have been delivered to the Council, all in
accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter
and ordinances of the City of Denton
SECTION II The official returns of the election officials
having een opened, examined and canvassed, the Council hereby
finds and declares that 3,200 votes were cast at said election,
and that the votes cast for each place on the Council were as
follows

date liste�iefow received a majority of the votes cast for each
place on the Council and that each candidate listed below is hereby
declared to be elected to the City Council of the City of Denton
