AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AMENDING ANNEXATION
ORDINANCE NO 85-210 TO PROVIDE FOR THE CORRECTION OF AN ERROR IN
THE METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION OF A PORTION OF THE LAND ANNEXED,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on October 15, 1985, the City Council of the City of
Denton, Texas, by the adoption of Ordinance No 85-210, annexed
four tracts of land containing approximately 304 acres of land, as
described therein, and
WHEREAS, it 1s necessary to amend Ordinance No 85-210 so as
to correct a clerical error in the metes and bounds description of
"Tract 211, as described in the ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That the metes and bounds description of "Tract

All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the County of Denton, State of Texas, being a
part of the M. Forrest Survey, Abstract No 417 and more
particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limits, said point
lying South 87 40' 46' East, 500 O feet from the Northwest
corner of Lot 2, Block F of the subdivision of the M.
Forrest Survey, said point also being an inner ell corner of
the tract described in Ordinance No 84-98,

being the north boundary line of said Lot 2, passing at

AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO
THE CITY OF DENTON, TE`tAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF
LAND CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 304 94 ACRES OF LAND LYING AND
BEING bITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEING
PART OF THE W DURHAM SURVEY, ABSTRACT NUMBER 330 AND M FORREST
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 417, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, CLASSIFYING THE
SAME AS AGRICULTURAL "A" DISTRICT PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
on the petition of Miller of Texas, and
WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at�a public hearing held
for that purpose on the /.'+8• day of ���, 1985 in the
Council Chambers for all -anteerested person to state their views
and present evidence bearing upon the anne ation provided by this
ordinance, and

Council Chambers for all ntereated person to state their views
and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this
ordinance, and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full at least
one time in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas,
prior to its eftective date, and after the public hearings,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same is
made hereby a part of said City and the land and the present and
future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and
privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound by
the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect or which may
hereafter be enacted and the property situated therein shall be
subject to and shall bear its prorate part of the taxes levied by
the City The tract of land hereby annexed is described as

TRACT 1 All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
a tuate in the County of Denton, State of Texas, being a part of
the W Durham Survey, Abstract Number 330 and more particularly
described as follows,
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limits as described in
Ordinance No 84-98, sail point also being the Northwest corner of
said survey,
THENCE South 850 55' 43" East, along said city limits, same
beingg the North boundary line of said survey, a distance of
1,363 36 feet to a point for a corner,
