AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-24 OF CHAPTER 25, OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS BY DELETING THE PRO-
VISION FOR DETERMINATION BY THE PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD OF COST
TO BE CHARGED FOR INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTING, ESTABLISHING
COSTS TO BE CHARGED FOR STREET LIGHTING SERVICES, PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY ORDAINS
6ECTION I
That Section 25-24(b) of Chapter 12 "Street Lighting Ser-
vices" is hereby amended to read as follows
11(b) The owner
shall provide satisfactory easements for
the construction
and maintenance of
the facilities
to be installed and pay for each street light to
be installed
The City of Denton will
invoice the
owner anQ
the owner shall pay the
invoiced amount
prior to
the construction of the facilities
The
cost to be paid by the owner for
street lighting
services
shall be as follows

SECTION II
Tnat Section 25-24(d) of Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Denton is hereby repealed
SECTION III
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereof
to any person or circumstance is held invalid by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the
City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it
would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
invalidity
SECTION IV
This ordinance shall become effective immediately after its
passage and approval
