HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-079NO .3- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX PO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO A 106 83 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE E MORRIS SURVEY, ABSTRACT 868, AND THE MARY L AUSTIN SURVEY, ABSTRACT 4, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS LOCATED NORTH OF SPENCER ROAD AND EAST ON WOODROW LANE, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DECLARING AN ENFECTIVh DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I The Zoning Classification and Use designation of the follow- ing described property, to -wit 106 83 acres out of the E Morris Survey, Abstract 868 and the Mary L Austin Survey, Abstract 4, Denton County, Texas, being further described as BEGINNING at an iron pin on the North side of a 30' gravel road conveyed from Alec Dickey to Denton County February 19SS, Volume 407, page 472, County Records, Denton County, Texas and the center line of Woodrow Lane being the Southwest corner of said tract, THENCE North 00*22100" East 1645 54' to the Northwest corner of said tract, THENCE North 89/41100 East 1415 87' to a corner, THENCE South 02*00100" East 294 39' to a corner, PHENCh North 89141100" East 1316 59' to the Northeast corner of said tract, THENCE South 01*54130" West 1572 18' to the Southeast corner of said tract, THENCE South 89*41100" West 2702 32' to the point of beginning is hereby changed from from Planned Development (PD-17) District Classification Use to Light Industrial "LI" District Classifi- cation and Use under the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas The Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under Ordinance No 69-1, be, and the same is hereby amended to show such change in District Classification and Use SECTION II That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other things for the character of the district and for its peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with a view to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human lives, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the City of Denton, Texas, and its citizens Z-lS94/N TEXAS BUSINESS PARK -PAGE ONE SECTION III That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Counciul o the City of Denton, Texas, after giving due notice thereof PASSED AND APPROVED this the day of 1983 i fCIT OF D NTON, TEXAS ATTEST APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM C J rAYLOR, JR , CITY ATTORNEY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS BY Z-1594/N TEXAS BUSINESS PARK -PAGE TWO n I
