AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE EAST
SIDE OF FRAME STREET FROM THE INTERSECTION OF SCHMITZ STREET TO
ITS INTERSECTION WITH WITHERS STREET, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE= PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person
shall park a vehicle at anytime upon the following street in the
City of Denton to -wit
The east side of Frame Street from its intersection with
Schmitz Street to its intersection with Withers Street
SECTION II
The provisions of Section I providing the parking of
vehicles shall apply at all times to the street and part of
streets designated therein except when it is necessary to stop a
vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance
with the direction of a police officer or official traffic -
control device
SECTION III
Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle in violation
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished
by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION IV
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance or application thereof
to an person or circumstances is held invalid by court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the
City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it
would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
invalidity All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION V.
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14)
days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is
hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record -Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of
the date of its passage.

THE WEST SIDE OF VINE STREET FROM GROVE STREET TO TEXAS STREET, THE
EAST SIDE OF VINE STREET FROM GROVE STREET TO COLLEGE STREET AND THE
EAST SIDE OF VINE STREET FROM TEXAS STREET TO WITHERS STREET, ON
WITHERS STREET FROM OAKLAND STREET TO MINGO ROAD, REPEALING THE
ANGLE PARKING DESIGNATION ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF OAKLAND STREET FROM
AUSTIN STREET TO 160 FEET EAST OF AUSTIN STREET, PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I. When signs or markings are in place giving notice thereof, no person shall
park a vehicle at any time upon the following street in the City of Denton
A On west side of Bolivar Street from its intersection with E University Drive to its
intersection with Pearl Street (Repealing that portion of Ordinance No 54-3 in conflict
herewith)
B On the east side of Austin from its intersection with Oakland Avenue to its
intersection with E Parkway (Repealing that portion of Ordinance No 54-31 in conflict
herewith)
C On Frame Street from its intersection with Grove to its intersection with Schmitz
and on the East Side of Frame Street from its intersection with Schmitz to its intersection
with Mingo (Repealing that portion of Ordinance No 82-64 in conflict herewith)
D On the south side of Schmitz from its intersection with Bell Avenue to its
intersection with Mingo (Repealing that portion of Ordinance Nos 76-17 and 82-65 in
conflict herewith)
E On the west side of Vine from its intersection with Grove Street to its intersection
with Texas, on the east side of Vine from its intersection with Grove Street to its
intersection with College and on the east side of Vine from its intersection with Texas to
its intersection with Withers (Repealing that portion of Ordinance Nos 76-17 and 82-66
in conflict herewith)

F On Withers from its intersection with Oakland to its intersection with Mingo
(Repealing that portion of Ordinance No 92 164 in conflict herewith)
SECTION II Repealing the designation on the south side of Oakland Street from its
intersection with Austin Street to 160 feet east of Austin Street as Angle Parking of Motor
Vehicles (Repealing that portion of Ordinance No 89-157 in conflict herewith)
SECTION III The provisions of Section I prohibiting the parking of vehicles shall apply
at all times to the designated portion of the above named street or streets except when it is
necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direction
of a police officer or official traffic control device
SECTION IV That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Denton in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances of
the City of Denton, not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, shall remain in full force
and effect
SECTION V That if any provision of this ordinance or application thereof to any person
or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or
applications, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable
SECTION VI Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle in violation of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred
Dollars ($200 00)
