HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-024l AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING 1314 NORTH LOCUST IN THE CITY OF DENTON, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK UNDER ORDINANCE NO 80-30 (ARTICLE 28A OF THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE), AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Historic Landmark Commission and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Denton have recommended that the property herein described be designated as a historic landmark in the City of Denton, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I The below described property shall be classified as historical zoning All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land situated in the City and County of Denton, State of Texas, beginning part of a 640 acre survey patented to John R Henry Assignee of BBB & CRR Co , Script No 111, Abstract No 185, and being part of a 45-1/2 acre subdivision of said survey and beginning at a stake in the center of Gainesville Road, 347 08 varas north of the southwest corner of said 45-1/2 acre tract, THENCE east 173 6 feet, THENCE north 90 feet, THENCE west 173 6 feet, THENCE south 90 feet to the place of beginning, excepting that portion used as the Gainesville Road or North Locust Street, and 12 5 feet off the south side of said lot also used for street purposes, (also known as 1314 North Locust Street), is hereby designated as a historic landmark under Ordinance No 80-30, Article 28A of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas SECTION II The historic landmark designation shall be indicated upon the zoning map of the City of Denton by the letter "H", and the property herein described shall be subject to all of the terms, provisions and requirements of Ordinance No 80-30, Article 28A of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas H-23-GAYLEN FICKEY-PAGE ONE SECTION III This ordinance shall become effective from and after its date of passage PASSED AND APPROVED this the 23th day of February, 1982 v .�� .., .
