AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-6 l(b) OF CHAPTER 25, CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PERTAINING TO AVERAGE
BILLINGS FOR SERVICES, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
Section 25-6 1(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Denton, Texas, is hereby amended so that the same shall
hereafter read as follows
"Sec 25-6 l(b) Upon receipt of such application, the
City will compute the total consumption of the
customer for water and electricity for the prior
twelve (12) months Dividing this annual consumption
by eleven (11) will provide the consumption used to
generate the average bill for the next twelve (12)
months The bill shall be calculated on the same
billing schedules that are applicable to the specific
customer The customer shall be billed this average
billing for the first eleven (11) billings of each
year On the twelfth billing, the City will either
credit the customer for the amount billed in excess
of the actual twelve (12) months' consumption or bill
the customer for the amount of actual consumption in
excess of the average billing provided for herein
Customer shall have until the next billing date to
pay any additional billings "
SECTION II
This Ordinance shall become effective from and after its
date of passage and approval
