AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 79-39 PASSED AND APPROVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS ON THE 29TH
DAY OF MAY, 1979 PERTAINING TO EXTENDED HOURS FOR THE LAWFUL
SALE, POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas has
heretofore enacted Ordinance No 79-39 to provide for extended
hours for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in
the City of Denton, Texas pursuant to the provisions of the
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton hereby
finds and determines that it is in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Denton to repeal said ordinance and not
permit the extended hours for the sale, possession and
consumption of alcoholic beverages in the City of Denton,
Texas, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
Ordinance No 79-39 passed and approved by the City Council
of the City of Denton, Texas on the 29th day of May, 1979 be,
and the same is hereby repealed
SECTION II
This ordinance shall become effective from and after the
1st day of July, 1981
SECTION III
