HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-071NO 79-1( AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO APPROXI- MATELY 2 8 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance No 69-1, be, and the same is hereby amended as follows All the hereinafter described property is hereby removed from the Agricultural "A" District as shown on said Zoning Map, and all provisions of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall hereafter apply to said property as Light Industrial "LI" District in the same manner as other property located in the Light Industrial "LI" District and more particularly described as follows, All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the City and County of Denton, Texas, and being known as Lot 8, Block 187-2, and being more particularly described as beginning at the northwest corner of the intersection of East McKinney Street and Mayhill Road and extending north along Mahill Road approximately for a distance of 486 9 feet, THENCE west for a distance of 260 feet, THENCE south for a distance of 455 feet, THENCE east for 260 feet to the place of beginning and being approximately 2 8 acres of land, more or less SECTION II That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other things for the character of the district and for its peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with a view to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human lives, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the City of Denton, Texas, and its citizens 4:011L1P!l1E1 That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, after giving due notice thereof PASSED AND APPROVED this the llth day of ber, A D 1979 CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM NULUMUT45,-ACTING CITY ATTORNEY, CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS F� Y ,F l�k r#� 7y �1 ?•€✓S�� ^� 4 s2 I t3i F w� � q ggy 4 u i z a c ita f 4R 1 i g ! s"IA A fFtR x'�iAA3 �� f �s_ irk s filz i ,�-q 5 S J !!�� 3 Y4 I 1, 3 rr A y �; 5y tdr N Y 994 i Y Ja f t I�N i ir k jr at t r r !
