AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE III "MASTER AND JOURNEY-
MAN ELECTRICIAN" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
BY ALLOWING A TEMPORARY WORK PERMIT, PROVIDING A PENALTY, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
PART I
That Chapter 9 "Electrical Code", Article III "Master and
Journeyman Electrician" of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Denton, Texas is hereby amended by adding a second paragraph
to Section 9-29 License - Required which shall read as follows
"A temporary work permit may be issued for a Journeyman
electrician which will be valid only until the next
Denton electrical examination is given In order to
qualify for the temporary permit, the applicant must
be sponsored by a master electrician having a current
Denton license and a permit fee of $2 00 must be paid
PART II
Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be
punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
Each day such a violation shall continue or be permitted, shall be
treated as a separate offense
PART III
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days
from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby
directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be published
twice in the Denton Record -Chronicle, the official newspaper of the
City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its pass-
age
