HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-019AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO CITY LOTS 1 THROUGH 11, BLOCK 8, LOTS 1 THROUGH ?, BLOCK 6, LOTS 1 THROUGH 6, BLOCK 3, AND LOTS 1 THROUGH 4, BLOCK ? OF THE MEADOW OAKS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTI- CULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I, That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted January'14, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordmnance No 69-1, be, and the same is hereby amended as follows A1i there hereinafter described property is hereby removed from the "2F" Two Family District as shown on said Zoning Ma~, and all provisions of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 145h day of January, 1969, as amended, shall hereafter apply to said property as "MF-i" Multi-Family District mn the same manner as other property located in the "MF-i" Multi-Family District, Ail that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and be- ing situated in the City and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being City Lots 1 through 11, Block 8, Lots 1 through 7, Block 6, Lots 1 through 6, Block 3, and Lots 1 through 4, Block 7 of the Meadow Oaks Addition to the City of Denton, Texas, and being further described as being located along the east boundary line of Mulkey Lane and bordering on the north boundary line of the Mack Addition SEOTION II, That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that such change is in accordance wmth a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other things for the character of the district and for its peculiar suit- ability or particular uses, and with a view to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human lives, and encouraging the most approprSate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the City of Denton and its citizens SECTION III That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect im- mediately after its passage and approval, the requiring public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Com- mission and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, after
