Annual Planning Session of the City of Denton City Council on Wednesday, August 17,
2005, at 2:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 18, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. at the Denton Civic
Center, 321 E. McKinney, at which the following items will be considered:

Service to Citizens - information to and education of the Denton public regarding
local issues including but not limited to:
Roads
Rezoning
Urban Center Density
Voter Registration
State Issues such as public school funding, trans Texas corridor
District forums on issues such as the Denton Plan, gas drilling
Involvement of youth and young adults in government
Responsiveness to citizens including minority opinions/concerns
Planning and Development - issues including but not limited to:
Multi-family Development Standards
Economic Development in north Denton
Economic Drivers such as culture, university city
Downtown projects
Transportation issues including a rail station, passenger rail
City Departments - issues including but not limited to:
Communication and concerns among departments
Customer Service
Efficiency of Departments
Utility, drainage and wastewater budgeting and transfers
Police Protection
Diversity in the City Workplace
Efficiency and operating procedures of General Government including the
Development Review Process
Environmental concerns - issues including but not limited to:
Clean green Denton
Green Building Standards
Code Enforcement

Structure of Council Meetings
Work Session Procedures and Topics
