CITY OF DENTON CITY COUNCIL
May 22, 2007
The City of Denton City Council will convene in the Work Session Room on Tuesday, May 22,
2007 at 5:30 p.m. to attend a reception honoring City Council.
After determining that a quorum is present, the City of Denton City Council will convene in a
Special Called Meeting on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City
Hall, 215 E. McKinney Street, Denton, Texas at which the following items will be considered:
1. Pledge of Allegiance
A. U.S. Flag
B. Texas Flag
"Honor the Texas Flag - I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one and indivisible."
2. Consider adoption of an ordinance canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the
Regular Municipal Election to elect four City Council members to Places 1, 2, 3, and 4 of
the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, held in the City of Denton on May 12,
2007; and providing an effective date.
3. Oath of Office administered to newly elected Council Members.
4. Election of Mayor Pro Tempore.
5. Election of Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore.
6. Consider approval of Resolutions of Appreciation for Council.
