I also enclosed a copy of the check register from that time and a copy of the letter I sent to Zella Brown (the tenant who lived there at the time and who chose to ignore the city's requests) informing her that I s paid the fine and expected her to repay me. As I told you on the phone the checks I was using at the time were carbon-copy type and all cancel checks were kept by Southwest Savings. Southwest Savings went out of business several years ago, so I have no idea where or how I would get a copy of the cancel check. I+ I had known there was a problem anJ that you could not solve it, I would have. cut the weeds myself and we could have both avoided this unfortunate incident. I have paid the charges and you may reimburse me in two monthly installments of $50.00 each. If you feel this is too much to handle right now, please let me know and we'll work ovt some other arrangement. If you receive any more letters addressed to me that are obviously not junk mail, please marl: them "Return to Sender" or put my address on them and return them to the mailbot.
