AT A REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON$
TEXAS, HELD IN THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING OF SAID CITY ON THE 9TH
DAY OF JANU%RY, A.D. 1962.
R E S O L U T I O N
WAERFAS, Employers Casualty Company, a corporation, is the
lawful owner of City of Denton Library Building Bonds, Series
of 1947, 296, due May 1, 1969, and is the true: and lawful owner
of Coupon Numbers 26-451 and
WHEREAS, the said coupons have been lost and/or destroyed
and have not to this date been paid by the First National Bank
in Dallasj and
WHEREAS, the said Employers Casualty Company has presented
to the City of Denton, Texas, its bond in the amount of Two
Hundred, Fifty and No/100 Dollars ($250.00) representing the a-
mount due on said coupons, and has requested the City of Denton
to authorize the First National Bank in Dallas to pay the said
Employers Casualty Company the sum of Two Hundred, Fifty and No/100
Dollars ($250.00) representing the amount due on said coupons, the
said bond being presented in lieu of the presentation of the said
couponst now therefore be it '
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF IRE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
that the Director of Finance be, and he is hereby, authorized to
notify the First National Bank in Dallas that the city Council
has hereby authorized the payment of the interest due the holder
of Coupon Fumbers 26-45, respectively inclusive, of City of Denton
Library Building Bonds, Series of 1947, 2h%j due May 1, 1969, to
Moyers casualty Company, as aforesaid, in the amount of Two

COUNTY OF DALLAS
That EMPLOYERS CASUALTY COMPANY, a Texas corporation, Isjheld and firmly
bound into CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, a political subdivision of the State of
Texas, in the sum of Two Hundred Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($250.00), to
be paid to the said CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, its successors or assigns, for
which paymant, well and truly to be made, the said corporation does bind
itself and its successors finaly by these presents.
Scaled with the seal of such corporation. Dated the 9th day of June, 1961.
The condition of the above obligation is that whereas heretofore CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS issued certain bonds bearing coupon numbers 26-45, respectively
Inclusive) of City of Denton Library Building Bond, Series of 1947, *0
dud May 1, 1969) the interest represented by such coupons being due and
payable on the let day of May, 1961, and that EMPLOYERS CASUALTY COMPANY is
the true and lawful owner of such coupons; that such coupons have been
lobt and/or destroyed, their whereabouts being unknown to EMPLOYERS CASUALTY
COMPANY, and whereas TKE FIRST NATIONAL BANK IN DALLAS at the request of
r: 14YERS CASUALTY COMPANY has paid to it the sus of IVo Hundred Fifty and
no/100 Dollars (250.00), representing the amount due on said coupons in
full discharge and satisfaction of the said coupons;
Now, if the said :;MPLOYERS CASUALTY CONPANY, its successors or assigns,
shall at all times lefend, save harmless and i.-solemnify CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS and THE FIiIAT NATIONAL BANK IN DALLAS, their successors, against
all claims, demands, suits and actions whatsoever arising from or on ac-
count of the said above numbered Liupons, and against all damages, costs,
payments and expenses, and expenses t; reason thoreof, and shall deliver
or cause to be delivered up the said coupons to the said THE FIRST NATIONAL
BANK IN DALLAS, its successors, if the same shall be found, then this obli-
gation shall be Void; otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the corporate seal of the said corporation is hereto
affixed, and these presents duly signed by the President and Treasurer of
said company, this day of June, 1961.

are the legal parent s of John n Kyle Robinson
Said is a minor 2LO__ years of age whose
birthday is July, 7j 1941 THAT WE the undersigned, fcr the
purpose of enabting laid minor of the age ofyears to secure employment
with the City of Denton, Texas, do hereby agree that said minor may be employed
by it at, such undertakings and lines of employment and for such wages and ccm•
pensation as may to agreed upon by and between said minor and said City; and
thst said minor may do such work, whether extra hazardous or not, as said City
may call upon him to do, and in consideration of his employment by the said
City of Denton, Texas, Iv hereby authorize and empower said City to pay to
said minor all wages end compensation earned by him whilr. in its employ, in
the same manner in which said City pays its other employees, and Vp do
hereby release all claims for said wages or compensation.
AND WE r, the undersigned, further agree that in all suits and actions which
way hereafter be instituted by us or John Doyle Robinson
for dam4ges received from injury sustained by said minor while in the employ
of the said City, by consent to the employment of the said minor hereby being
given, the agreements herein contained shall constitute a bar to any recovery

City may further urge and take advantage of, in bar to any such recovery by
ytip M, all and singular the defenses which might be urged and taken advantage
of by it in bar to a recovery by said minor in any suit instituted on account

agreement being as between us and said City to manumit the said minor and

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART
OF PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE
NO. 61-19, AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO CERTAIN PROPERTY 04
THE WEST SIDE OF NORTH ELM STREET IN THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, SO AS TO
REMOVE SAID PROPERTY FROM THE "A-2" - DWELLING DISTRICT
AND PLACING THE SAME IN THE "LB" - LOCAL BUSINESS DIS-
TRICT] AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINSt
AECTION 1. nat the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas,
1961, adopted as a part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under the pro-
visions of Ordinance No. 61-19 be, and the same is hereby, amended
as followst
All of the hereinafter described property is hereby re-
moved from the "A-2" - Dwelling District as shown on said
map, and all provisions of Ports II and III of Chapter
13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas,
as provided by Ordinance No. 61-19, shall hereafter apply
to said property as "LB" - Local Business District prop-
erty in the same manner as other property located in a
"LB" - Local Business Distriott
All that certain tract or parcel of land situated
on the West side of North Elm Street in the City
of Denton, Texas, being a part of Subdivision
No. 3 o£ the B.§.B. & C.R.R. Survey, Abstract No.
111, consisting of a 100 foot wide lot described
in a certain release from Denton Federal Savings
and Loan Aeon, to Susie V. Beyetta, at al, re-
corded in Volume 69, Pago 511 of the Deed of
Trust Records of Denton County, 1'exae, plus a 59
foot wide lot adjacent to the above lot on the h
South owned by Ida Cleo Stanley, and a 90 foot
wide lot adjacent to said Stanley lot on the South
owned by Mrs. 0. D. Be11, and being more particu-
larly described as followst

SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a compre-
hensive plan for the purpose of promoting the goneral welfare of
the City of Denton, and wit;i reasonable consideration, among
other things, for the character of the district and for its
peculiar suitability for particular uses, and with a view to
conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most appro-
priate use of such land for the maximum benefit to the City of
Denton, Texas, and its citizens.
BErTION 3, That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately after its passage and approval, the required
public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and
Zoning Commission and the City Council.
