Casing pipe shall be installed under tracks by boring or jacking. If at any time during the life of this agreement Licensor desires to !Hake any use of its property which would, in the sole judgment of Licensor, be inconsistent with Licensee's use thereof, then Licensee will, at its own sole cost and expense and on its own sole responeibility, make any changes which may be necessary in its line in order to conform to such use by Licensor. 3. OVERHEAD AND UNDERGROUND NVIRE LINES: Wire liners to be installed and maintained in accordance with recommendations of the United States Bureau of Standards and such modifications thereof as may from time to time be made or required by the United States Bureau of St,uidards. No poles, guys or other supporting fixtures are to be installed on Railway property. PIPE LINES CARRYING STEASI, WATER OR ANY NON-FLASISIABLE SUBSTANCE: Pipe lines under railway tracks and across railway right of way shall be encased in a larger pipe or conduit called the casing pip., in accordance •r.'ith the specifications and m indicated in Fig. 3. Casing pipe shall be installed under tracks by boring or lacking. Carrier line pipe and joints inside of casing under railway tracks and right of way shall be of approved construction satisfactory to the railway company. Joints for carrier line pipe operating under pressure shall be of mechanical or welded type. Pipe shall be laid with slack (no tension) In the liae,'or with expansion joint near the paint of railway crossing. Casing pipe and joints shall be of leakproof construction, capable of withstanding railway loading. Class 150 cast iron pipe may be used for ! 2 inch and under, and Class 250 shall be used for over 12 inch, provided the method of installation is by open trench. The inside diameter of the casing pipe shall be sl least 2 inches greater than the largest diameter of the carder pipe, joints or courlings, fcr carrier pipe less than B Inches In diameter; and at least 4 inches greater for carrier pipe 6 inches and over in diameter. Casing pipe shall be so constructed as to pre- vent leakage of any matter from the casing or conduit throughout its length under track and railway right of way, except at ends of casing where ends are left open. For pressures under 100 psi In the carrier pipe, the casing pipe may be reinforced concrete pipe or bituminous coated corrugated metal pipe, either conforming to the raihvay's requirements. Carrier and casing pipe shall be protected against Corrosion as specified for ape lines carrying oil, gas or other flammable materials. For gravity sewer crossings casing pipe will be required where the carrier pipe is of a material or grade incapable of withstanding rail- 'y loading in which event the same requirements as specified for casing pipe above shall govern. PIPE LINES CARRYING OIL, GAS, GASOLINE OR OTHER FLAPi~fABLE SUBSTANCES UNDER PRESSURE: Pipe limes under railway tracks and across railway right of way shall be encased in a larger pipe or conduit called the casing pipe as shown below in Fig. 1. Where ends of casing are at or above ground surface and above high water level, they may be left open, provided drainage is afforded in such manner that leakage will be conducLd away from railway tracks or structure. Vents in locations subject to high water shall be supported and protected in a manner that meets the approval of the Chlef Engineer of the railway company.
