Pursuant to the request of Mr. Robby Robinson for a recount
of votes cast in Place 2 of the Municipal Election held on
April 7, 1979, the City Council of the City of Denton, by
motion made on this date, has appointed a committee of three
persons to recount the votes. Please be advised that the
City Council has scheduled such recount for Friday, April
13, 1979, at the Conference Room of the City Manager's
office beginning at 8x00 A.M.
The law entitles any affected candidate or one person

el primer sAhado do ese mes, con el fin de c4egir tres (3) vecinos, al consejo ,
municipal de] Municipio do Denton, 'T'exas segun las normas del Articulo 11, Section
2.01 do In Cctdula Ttrnicipal del Imicipio de Denton, Texas; estab~cciendo las
horas y el lugar de dicha eleccion; clevando a/cabo a publication de esta
ordenanza y colocacion cue In misma on tres lugares p~blicos del Municipio cane
noticia de dicha eleccion; dirigiendo al Secretario del Municipio gue prepare las
ba]otas oficiales, supervisando su fabrication y su entrega, al oficial encargado
de la eleccion; dirigiendo que se hagan las tareas necesarias de In eleccion y
que estas scan anunciadas al publico per el consejo Municipal; y dirigiendo que
se declare In fecha en que esta eleccion se considere eumplida.'
VISTO QUE, es necesario que las nominaciones para Ins elecciones del consejo
Municipal se pagan no menos de treinta (30) dias antes del dia de In eleccion,

Que tuna eleccion se lleve a/cabo en el Community Building, en e] Centro ci'vico
ubicado en la calle East McKinney, en el Municipio de Denton, Texas durante Ins
horas de siete (7:00 a.m, y siete (7:00) p.m. del din 7 de abril, D.C. 1979, este
siendo el primer Abado de dicho mes, con el proposito de elejir tres (3) vecinos
al consejo Municipal del Municipio de Denton de acuerdo con las normas del
Articulo 11, Seccion 2.01 de la Cedula Municipal del Municipio de Denton, Texas.

(a) Que tres vecinos scan elegidos a tomar tres lugares vacantes en el consejo
•himicipal, Puestos numero uno (1), numero dos (2) y numero tres (3) y que el
candidate quo reciba ]a mayoria de los votes on cada Puesto sea declarado
elegido para ese Puesto en el consejo Municipal del Municipio de Denton por un

SECTION III.
That notice of said election shall be given by the posting

more candidates shall tie with the highest number of votes or if no "
