EMERGENCY ADDENDUM
CITY OF DENTON CITY COUNCIL
July 6, 1982
Regular Meeting of the City of Denton City Council on Tuesday,
July 6, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at which the
following items will he considered.
7:00 p.m.
1. Consider Requast for Pyrotechnics at the Denton
Municipal Airport during the Confederate Air Force
Airshow.

RE: pvrotechnics timed at Confederate Air Force Airshow

This is a forr+al request for the Citv Council approval
of the display that the Confederate Air Force will be using
in their Airshow on July 17 and 18, 1982, at the Denton
Municipal Airport.
They will be using dynamite, gasoline and flour in small
quantities to simulate bombing raids from airplanV. . These
materials will be used at a safe distance from the crowds.
The technician that will be supervising the charges has
met the criteria of having Federal and State Licenses to
handle explosives.
The Fire Marshal's office has sent applications to the Confederate
Air Force Colonel, Mike Clark, for completion.
The Code of Ordinances, Sect. 14:3 states that such displays
or use of explosives needs the City Council approval. We
(the Fire Marshal's Office) hereby request the City Council
approval to complete the application process for the Airshow
Display Permit.
