February 26, 1985
Special Called Meeting of the City of Denton City Council on
Tuesday, February 26, 1985, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers of the Municipal Building at which the following items
will be considered:
5:30 p.m.
1. Public Hearings:
A. Hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of
an ordinance establishing four single member
districts.
2. Ordinances:
A. Consider adoption of an ordinance creating and
describing four single member election districts
in the City of Denton, Texas; determining the
population of the City of Denton and of each
single member district.
3. Resolutions:
A. Consider approval of a resolution approving an
Airport Lease Agreement with Mr. Benjamin
Bennitt. (The Airport Advisory Board recommends
approval.)

The Denton City Council will hold a public meeting on February 26
1985 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal
Building to consider adoption of an ordinance creating and
describing four single member election districts in the City of
Denton, Texas as required by Sectf.on 2.01(d) of the City Charter;
determining the populatLon of the City and of each single member
districts as follows:
District 1 includes the following 1980 census tracts or parts
thereof:
Tract 206.02 2,094 Persons
Tract 207 453 Persons
Tract 208 47 Persons
Tract 209 493 Persons
Tract 210 3,689 Persons
Tract 211 1,835 Persons
Tact 212 2,578 Persons

District 1 includes the following Denton County election precincts
or parts thereof:
1. That portion of Precinct No. 1-IC lying north of McKinney
Street, East and South of Mingo Road, West of Mockingbird

2. All of Precinct 1-3 in the City of Denton.
3. All of Precinct 1-V.
4. That portion of Precinct 1-D lying North of Interstate
Highway 1-35 East.
5. That portion of Precinct 1-J lying North of Interstate
Highway 1-35 East.
