HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990 1 1990 CT-NSUS PRELIMINARY DATA C The Planning and Development Department has received preliminary census counts for total Housing Units and Population for the City. The Housing unit counts of 28,734 are lower than current estimates of 29,1P,7 by 1.57 percent. The population count of 65,669 is, less than current estimates of 70,250 by 6.9 percent. Denton County population count is also 10,843 or 4 percent less than current estimates. Current estimates have been prepared in January 1990 by the NCTCOG and the Planning and Development Department. City staff will start the post census review as soon as the block group counts have been received. The Census Bureau will allow the city three weeks to review the preliminary data and to report discrepancies.
