I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU AND THE MEMBERS OF OUR CITY COUNCIL TO WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN EVEN TO THE EXTENT TR0 CERTAIN STREETS MAY BE BLOCKED AND TRAFFIC RE-ROUTED. IF WE ARF. TO PROGRESS ECONOMICALLY IN THIS CITY, WE MUST SEEK EXTRAORDINARY EFFORTS TO ACCOMMODATE VENTURES SUCH AS THIS. WHILE TRAFFIC DIVERSION CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR BUSINESSES, PROPER PLANNINOAND WORKING COOPERATIVELY AMONG THESE BUSINESSES CAN CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE TO MAKE THIS AND SUBSEQUENT PROJECTS FEASIBLE DALLAS DRIVE IS AN IMPORTANT FEEDER ROUTE FOR OUR BUSINESS AND WOULD BE IMPACTED BY THE PROPOSED STREET CLOSURE. I DO BELIEVE, HOWEVER, FOR THE OVERALL GOOD OF THIS CITY THAT WE M''017 BECOME VERY AGGRESSIVE IN OUR MARKETING AND ECONOMIC, DEVELOPMENT EFFORT IF WE ARE TO MEET THE PROJECTED ECONOMIC DOWN TURN IN THE ECONOMY. THIS MEANS GOING THE EXTRA MILE TO ASSIST DEVELOPMENT AND PROJECTS LIKE THIS, CREATING OPPORTUNITY RATHER THAN OBSTACLES AND BEOOMINGA COMMUNITY THAT COLLECTIVELY ASSUMES THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH DEVELOPMENT. f OVERALL, WE WILL BE BETTER OFF. } OUR BUSINESS SHOWS EVEN GREATER POSITIVE TRENDS WHEN THERE ARE MAJOR EVENTS HAPPENING IN DENTON. EVENTS LIKE THIS, THE EXTRAVAGAN7A, UNT SPORTING EVENTS, CONCERTS AND OTHER MAJOR ATTRACTIONSARE SIGNIFICANT GENERATORS FOR OUR BUSINESS. WE LOOK FORWARD TO THIS EVENT IN DENTON.
