THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DEMON CITY OF DENTON WHEREAS, this City coma deems it advisabie to call the elation hereinafter ordered; and WHEREAS, it is hereby officially farad and determined that holding the hereinafter caned election on a date other than a uaform election date established by Section 41.001(a~ Texas Elation Code, is in the public interest, and that said meeting was open to the public„ and public notice of the time, place and purpox of said meeting was given, an as required by Chapter SS 1, Government Code. That the following election officers are hereby appointed to hold said election: a For the Central Courting Station: George Hopkins, Presidutg Judge; Tim Hodges, Manager, and Rudie Smith Tabulation Supervisor. b. For District No. 1: Varinia Sims, Presiding Judge and Mireastiss Woodson, Alternate Judge. C. For District No. 2: Doris CWpmaq Presiding Judge and Mary Mecay, Alternate Judge. d. For District No. 3: George SpulW. Presiding Judge and Jack Weir, Ahernate Judge. e. For Dutrict No. 4: Rakph pyke, Presiding Judge and Barbara Pyke, Alternate Judge. 3. That each Presiding Jud, a shall appoint not less than two qualified election clerks to serve and assist in conducting said election; providing that if the Presiding Judge actually serves as expected, the Alternate Presiding Judge shall be one of such clerks. 4. That by approving and signing this Ordutance the Mayor of said City officially confirms his appointment of the aforesaid election officers to serve at said election; and by passing this Ordinance the governing body of said City approves and concurs in the appointment of the aforesaid election officers. 5. That early voting s1Wl be conducted by p. tonal appearance and by trail at the City Secretary/3 office, Municipal Building (City Hafl), 215 Fast McKinney, Denton, Texas, and during the period early voting is required or permitted by law, being February S, 1996 through February 20, 1996, the hours designated for early voting by personal appearance shall be from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on each day except Saturdays (except early voting shall be conducted on Saturday, February 10, 1996 from 10:00 a, m. to 3:00 p.m.) Sundays and legal state holidays; and the early voting Berk shall keep said early voting place open during such hours for early voting b" personal appearance. The early voting clerk for said election shall be Jennifer Wakers. O 6. That an early ballot board is hereby created to process early voting results, and George Hopkins is hereby appointed the presiding judge of said board. That at said election the following PROPOSITIONS shall be submitted in accordance with law PROPOSITION NO. I Shall the City Council of the City of Denton be authorized to issue the bonds of said City, in one or more series or issues, in the aggregate principal amourit of $11.112,000. with the bonds of each such series or issue, respectively, to hue serially within not to exceed thirty years from their date, and to be sold at prices and tear interest at such rates, not to exceed the mvdm um noes permitted by law at the respective tunes of issuance, n shill be determined within the discretion of the Ciry Council, for the purpose of the acquisition of property arsd malting improvements for pubic purposes in said City, to-wit: street and traffic control improvements; and shall said City Council be authorized to levy and cause to be assessed and collated j annual ad valorem taxes in an amount sufficient to pay the annul interest on said bonds and provide a sinking fund to pay acid bonds at maturity?
