SUBJECT: Special Election Expenses I{
Listed below are the final expenses for the Special Election held
January 18, 1997. No money was set aside in this year's budget
for these expenses and no special receiving account was set up as
the City is responsible for the total expense of the election
unlike a joint election with the DIED when the DISD pays half of
the expenses.
,Texas County Printing - $20799.00
Judge's stamps for ballots - $87.80
Denton Record-Chronicle Ads - $138.00
Denton County Equipment Rental and Services - $972.40
Election Day expenses - $20.00
Election Workers - $40196.00
TOTAL EXPENSES - $5,213.20
1 anticipate similar expenses for the May election with the DISD
paying half of the expenses. A special receiving account will be
set up in order to expedite payment.
